Merry Christmas Darling

This is a scrapbook page I've been working on of Jacoby's first Christmas. I just love the picture in the ornament on the left, isn't his new hat so cute?

Christmas Fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas! We had lots of parties with family and had lots of good times. I just love Christmastime. We received many great gifts from our families. A few of the things we got were a camcorder, a trunk for a coffee table, clothes, books for Jacoby, lots of toys, a SEWING MACHINE, and Tyler got a nice coat. I love everything about the Christmas season: the music, the snow, the lights, Christmas trees, decorations, yummy food, parties, shopping, and best of all remembering the birth of our Savior. I'm so grateful for the birth of Jesus Christ and for all of the sacrifices He has made for all of us. I feel so blessed. I'm always a little grumpy after Christmas because it just goes by too fast. I didn't want to go to bed Christmas night because I just didn't want to wake up and realize it was all over. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

Jacoby & Johnny Our little family on Christmas. I can't believe I'm posting a picture considering how I look, but hey it's Christmas and when it comes to getting ready, I take the day off.

We have started to do this huge party with my family about a week before Christmas where we have fondue, play Bunko and have great prizes, watch movies, eat a fantastic dinner, and all sleepover. It was so fun to have everyone together and spend the whole night together. I just love my family! This is a scrapbook page that my mom did of the big party! And another great thing about the party was that it was Steph's birthday! I love ya Steph! My mom made cupcakes for her birthday and Devan got more cake from Johnny Carinos, by the end of the night, we were sick! Here are some pictures from the big night!

Good Times with Eden

I just love this "handsome" outfit of Jacoby's and have been wanting to do a page with him in it. It was a really fun page to do. I think he is more than handsome though. :)

I have had a lot of fun watching Eden the last couple days. Steph had her graduation tonight, I'm so excited for her! This last semester she did her student teaching and it wasn't easy, but she is finally done. She's such a hard worker and I know she did such a good job as a student teacher. I heard from so many of her students that she just loved having her in the class, probably because she's very talented and fun to be around. Love ya Steph.

Anyway the last few days that I have watched Eden I have been having a blast doing her cute hair. It's naturally curly and so I just get it wet and put some gel in it and her head springs into curls. She's so adorable, I hope someday I have a little girl like her with hair like Eden's and we can be twins. She's so fun to watch with Jacoby, she just points at him and says, "Baby, baby!"

Bath Time

Jacoby just loves taking baths, he always smiles and kicks around in the water. I love the hooded bath towels that he has, they're the cutest, this is a photo taken fresh outta the tub. Tyler is trying desperately to get Jacoby to stand up, it isn't really working, Ha ha. Just look at that huge smile on his face.

Well our families really enjoyed the last video we put on here of Jacoby cooing, so we have been trying to get another one to post. Jacoby is laughing pretty hard in this video, he's pretty cute, try not to smile, I dare ya. :)

Christmas Tag!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper of course. I really love to wrap presents too, and it’s so much more fun to unwrap a present rather than take it out of a bag. However, I’m not wrapping too many of Jacoby’s gifts because he isn’t old enough to understand. Ha ha. I have some cute Christmas boxes that I’m putting his presents in.
2. Real tree or Artificial? I love love real trees because of the way they smell, but they’re messy, you have to water them, and my least favorite thing is that you have to put lights on them every year. I really love pre-lit trees, so much less work.
3. When do you put up the tree? Soon after Thanksgiving!
4. When do you take the tree down? Just a few days after Christmas, and the taking down is never fun.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes I do! I also love eggnog milkshakes!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Probably my American Girl doll, Samantha, or else my water baby.
7. Hardest person to buy for? My dad, Tyler, Tyler’s dad. Oh geez, boys are tricky that’s for sure.
8. Easiest person to buy for? My sisters, my mom, and especially Jacoby.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? No, but I love the Willow Tree nativity. That’s definitely in my wish list.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mailed! E-mailing Christmas cards is lame, I have never been a fan of e-mailed cards of any kind, it just doesn’t mean as much. Everyone loves to get a letter or card in the mail, it’s like a little present.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A Razor Scooter. I cannot remember how old I was, I think middle school, but I wasn’t into them at all, so I had no idea why “Santa” brought me a dumb scooter. Ha ha. I probably rode it twice. I’m sorry, I sound very ungrateful, but honestly!
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Oh I have a bunch that I love: The Santa Claus, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Home Alone.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Black Friday
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? No, I don’t think so.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Soup, fudge, homemade chocolates, lifesaver book, but my favorite are peppermint Tootsie Pops.
16. Lights on the tree? Yes, that makes such a difference.
17. Favorite Christmas song? Breath of Heaven, by Amy Grant and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer are good ones!
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I have never traveled for Christmas, luckily Tyler and my family live so close so we don’t have to travel too far.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixon, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph. Singing while I named them.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? I don’t like very many of the angels out there, so I would definitely go with a star.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Open a couple Christmas Eve and the rest Christmas Day.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? I hate going to town when it’s really busy, I don’t like to drive when it takes forever to get somewhere.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? RED! We have big red bells, Wrapped Presents, and red ball ornaments. RED is the color.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? I don’t really care, soup is yummy or ham and baked potatoes.
25. Favorite family Christmas tradition? Well growing up we always picked out a Hallmark ornament, and I always got ornaments that did things, my favorite one you pull on a string and the bear does a snow angel. I’m excited to get Jacoby’s first ornament. For the past four years or so we’ve started doing a big party with my immediate family and we have fondue, play Bunko, watch a movie, and have a really yummy steak dinner. We don’t eat until after the movie so it’s usually really late, it’s been a really fun tradition. I love Christmas and being with family.

Merry Christmas Everyone! I tag Steph, my mom, Lyndsi, Angie, and Jenn!

It's a Wonderful Life

Jacoby and Johnny on Thanksgiving! They are some good lookin' boys!
When Tyler was a baby, his dad would hold his feet in one hand and Tyler would stand up on them and balance himself. Tyler wants Jacoby to be able to do this, but for now, he can sit on one hand. Impressive, I know!

I loved this outfit he's wearing with his matching hat. I was trying to get him to talk to me, but lately he's much more interested in stuffing his fist in his mouth. Ha ha. Whatever makes ya happy buddy!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This year we went to my uncle Ryan and aunt Jenny’s home for Thanksgiving. My sisters and I are on the same schedule for Thanksgiving, so our whole family was able to be there this year. I made sure and took some pictures of Jacoby and Johnny; I’m so excited for them to grow up together. There was so much food, we had appetizers and were full before we even ate. It was really nice that Jacoby decided to fall asleep right before we ate, so we were really able to enjoy our meal. Thanks bud! I made a yummy artichoke dip and my very favorite, banana cream pie, all from scratch, and it takes forever but well worth it. It was so fun to be with family and just sit and visit all day. I really want to express my gratitude for all that I have in my life. I truly have been blessed in my life. I’m so grateful for my healthy baby boy; he brings so much joy and happiness into our lives. He really is a wonderful baby. I’m grateful that I am a mother and a wife. I love Tyler so much; he works so hard in school and also at his job. He makes me feel good about myself and he keeps me laughing. He is a wonderful father, and loves to help out with Jacoby. It’s so fun to watch him with Jacoby. I’m so grateful for my parents and the example that have always been to me. I always give my dad a hard time and tell him that he became so much nicer after I got married. It’s true though, he was a strict man! I love my mom and more than ever I realize how much she did for me growing up because I’m now a mother. I’m grateful for my sisters and my brother, they’re my best friends! I’m grateful for Tyler’s parents. They do so many nice things for us and I love them. There are so many other things that I’m so grateful for, It’s a wonderful life.

Monkey Boy

I feel like I haven't had much to post about lately, but I have been working on this scrapbook page of Jacoby today. This is our little monkey boy on Halloween this year, it's only been a month, but he has already changed so much. I love these monkey jammies he's wearing, I will be bummed when they don't fit him anymore. The journaling reads: Jacoby, you looked so cute in your monkey jammies and hat on Halloween. Because you were only 2 months old, we didn’t take you trick-or-treating, but we still got you all dressed up! You were the cutest monkey we’d ever seen!

Festival of Trees

The last couple years, my mom and some of her sisters have been over decorating the Christmas trees for the Festival of Trees. It's so much fun to pick a theme and find all these decorations that you love to decorate a tree with. On Saturday we went to the Red Lion to decorate and had a blast. I did my tree with my sister, Olivia, and we had a lot of fun. Our tree is called Christmas Cheer and it's pretty much all red, with a little lime green and plum. I wasn't sure about the plum, but Olivia was dead set on it and now I'm really glad we added it in. It's always so fun to see the trees, so if you get a chance go to the Red Lion sometime this week, it goes until Friday night.

Lyndsi Got Hitched

Yesterday my good friends Lyndsi Struhs and Taylor Morrow got married. It was fun to be able to go to the wedding and reception. She looked so pretty, I loved her sash so much. They have been dating ever since we were in high school and are the cutest couple. I got some pictures as they came out of the temple, but this one was a little blurry. Oh well, it's the first picture of the married couple and they look happy as can be. It was a good day! Jessica, Lyndsi Morrow, Katelyn, and me.
Katelyn, Lynds, and me just outside the temple. Lyndsi was a gorgeous bride!

Check Out These Sexy Red Shoes! Ha ha

So I've been working on our wedding scrapbook and I'm just loving it. Digital scrapbooking is so much fun, if you haven't tried it, you've got to get into it. Our wedding colors were robin egg blue and red. So I decided that I wanted to wear these red shoes instead of the usual white shoes. Ha ha. Here I am showing them off.

My Cute Bridesmaids

Finally I'm starting my wedding scrapbook, and it's been so fun. This is a page of my good friends, Jess and Katelyn, who were my bridesmaids. They're the best. I dunno if you can read the journaling so it reads: Jess and Kate were my bridesmaids, and they looked gorgeous that day. They were there for every event of the wedding: the dinner, waiting at the temple, and staying at the reception all night. It meant so much to have them there. They have always been there for me. I hope that I have been as good of a friend to them as they have been to me.
I loved my wedding so much, I do have one regret though, I didn't have one of my friends, Lyndsi be one of my bridesmaids. At the time I didn't feel like we were very close, but we are so close now. I will always feel bad about that. She's getting married this Friday and I'm so excited for her and Taylor. She's the best example to me, I just love her.

Good Times

Yesterday was my good friend, Jason's mission report. He did such an awesome job. It's so amazing to see how much he has changed and the strong testimony he has. I know that he was a great missionary and that he touched so many lives. It was really fun to see my group of friends again and be together. It's crazy to think how much can happen in two years, my friends keep saying I'm a perfect example of that. Ha ha. I have some great friends from highschool that I know I will always be close to. Good times! I've been dying to have this done so that I could hang it up in Jacoby's room. I'm all about doing things cheap, and this was. Woo hoo! My mom came up with the cute idea and did it for my sisters, and I loved it so I decided to do one for Jacoby's room. It is definitely hard for me to decorate for a boy, and I didn't want it to look to girly, so I stayed pretty basic on the fonts. I really like how it turned out. Thanks Mom!

Our Little Monkey

Happy Halloween everyone! Awhile ago I was trying to figure out what Jacoby should be for Halloween and I hadn't decided yet, but then we got this cute outfit and monkey hat from some of Tyler's friends. I was so excited and decided he was definitely going to be a monkey for Halloween. We didn't really do too much tonight because Tyler isn't feeling well, so me and Jacoby watched some movies and took care of Dad. We love our little monkey boy. Hope everyone had a fun night! Check out these pictures! What a cutie!

All Ready for Dad's Game Tonight

We have been trying this Jordan outfit on Jacoby for a long long time, and finally it fits. Tyler's parents bought this for Jacoby right after I found out I was pregnant. It's a pretty sweet outfit huh? Even if it is Hillcrest colors! BOO! I guess I need to grow up and get over it, I married a Hillcrest boy. :) So we put this on Jacoby today for Tyler's game.
Tyler is playing on an intramural team with my brother Thomas, Jordan Keck, Josh Peterson, Dustin Elliott, and Josh Curtis. It has been so fun to watch them play together. It worked out good for me too because then I have people to talk to at the games like Thomas' girlfriend, Katie, Jordan's wife, Krystal, and Lindsey Curtis. Going to Tyler's game is the highlight of my week.

He's 2 months today!

Jacoby's Blessing

Today Jacoby was blessed! He looked so handsome in his little tuxedo outfit his Grandma Roe made. Tyler did a great job on his blessing, I was so proud of him. Tyler is such a great Dad, it has been so fun to watch him with our little boy. I'm so glad that all of our family could be there, we love them so much. We blessed him in Tyler's parent's ward and we went over to their house afterword. We had homemade cinnamon rolls and fruit, it was tasty. Here are some pictures of our sweet guy! !

REUNION...good times

Last night and today was our first Long reunion, it has been so fun.  We all came over to my parents and took pictures for Christmas cards, ate Chinese food, and played games all night. It has been so much fun, I love my family so much, I wish we could do this all the time.  Here is a picture from last  night, and more to come later.  Good times, good times.

Johnny and Jacoby

Yesterday my sisters, mom, and I went down to Pocatello to see Becca and her kids. It was so fun to see how much Johnny has grown in the last couple weeks. We hung out at Becca's for while and went to a park and had a picnic while the kids played.

I made sure and got a picture with the two boys...they're going to be buds!

Eden and Jacoby

Eden is so adorable around Jacoby, she comes up right next to him and points and says, "Baby, baby."

She is trying to hold him in this picture. Precious!

Tagged!

Judy thanks for tagging me. This was fun to do. I really love blogging because it's kind of like keeping a journal, and I have a hard time doing that, blogging makes it much more fun to record what's going on in your life. I just love it!

-Digital scrapbooking
-Blogging…man I’m addicted
-Spending time with family

Words or phrases I often say:
-How ya doin’?

-Be a good seamstress...I know how to sew, but I want to be better!
-Play on a softball team and get a homerun...ha ha. I really wish that I would have played sports in high school.

Things I have learned from my past:
-To not worry about what other people think about me so much
-That it’s important to stand up for myself, I don’t like conflict, but I have learned that if you just let people walk all over you, you won’t be very happy.
-Friends seem so important when you’re younger, but family will always be there. My sisters are my best friends now. Treasure the times with your family.
-How grateful I am for my parents and all that they have taught me.
-The importance of hard work.

Digital Scrapbooking is the Best

I've recently started doing digital scrapbooking and I just love it. I'm finally figuring out the Photoshop program and my mom has helped me a lot because she's really into it. It's really fun so if you haven't tried it at all you need to! I'm so excited to scrapbook all my photos of my sweet baby. This is a photo of Tyler and Jacoby, they're such good buddies.

Look Alikes

So my neice, Eden is a year old and she's adorable. She has naturally curly hair and it's so fun to fix, just throw in a little gel and it springs into curls. My mom said that this is what my hair looked like when I was her age, so I had her send me a picture. I'm a few months older then Eden so my hair is longer, but our hair is a ton the same.
Me at 15 months
Eden
I love Eden, she's at such a fun age. It's always so fun to see her.
