Bummer!!

Well, I kinda had a bummer day today. On the last post I said that I had entered on of my digi layouts in a contest at Designer Digitals for a free nonochromatic ipod, they were giving away two to the top two layouts with the most votes. Well I e-mailed a lot of my family and friends who have accounts there so they could vote for me, which was so nice of them, well turns out I didn't win. I found that out yesterday, but today my mom called and said that they showed how many votes everyone got. I lost by ONE vote. I was so bummed! So one lady had 23, another 22, and me 21. So close! :( Well I will eventually get over this I guess. Ha ha.
On to better things, I just did this layout of Eden and Jacoby. I was so excited that I got this picture of Eden giving Jacoby a smooch. Love ya Eden girl!
My mother-in-law told me about this awesome deal on magazine subscriptions that you can find here. The subscriptions are only $5 for twelve issues, so I thought that was a pretty good deal. There were some good ones such as: Family Circle, Parents, and Better Homes and Gardens. So check it out if you wanna.

Contest!

Well first off, I loved this photo of Jacoby that I posted the other day, so of course I had to scrap it. I just love his blue eyes, I hope they don't change! Well as you all know I'm really into digital scrapbooking and I get all of my kits from Designer Digitals. Well they just had a contest that I entered my heart collage layout of Jacoby. So everyone that's registered at Designer Digitals gets to vote on a layout. If we win we get a nanochromatic IPOD, so I really want to win. So I would love it if you guys voted for me. Just go here, scroll down to my name: Missybaby-You have Stolen my Heart and click on it. Thanks guys!

Valentine's Day and Six Months Old

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. We were in Idaho Falls for the day and Tyler's mom watched Jacoby while we went out to dinner at Chili's. Thanks a lot Debie! It was nice to be alone together, we need to try to do that a little more often. So I made Tyler this heart photo collage for his little present. I got a big metal sheet and put magnets on the backs of the pictures and arranged them into a heart (like that collage I just posted of pictures of Jacoby). I got the idea from a Martha Stewart magazine. I have it hung up, but now I think I'm going to paint it with chalkboard paint and that way we can draw on it and it will be a magnet board too. So I will post pictures when it's all done. The reason I really wanted to do this for him was because he had a picture wall in his room growing up, and ever since we got married he's been trying to get me to do one. I love the idea, but I just wanted do something that looked a little nicer. It was very nice of my parents to come up to Rexburg to help me hang it up so that it would be there when Tyler got home. Anyway...we had a wonderful Valentine's Day, I love ya Ty!
Well Jacoby turned six months old yesterday...I can't believe it! He's growing very fast and is rolling all over the place. We fed him carrots yesterday and it was hilarious, we recorded it so I'll have to post it sometime. He was making the most funny faces. We got his high chair out too and he is sitting up great in it. Thanks Tammi and Roz!
Loving the Carrots
I love watching Jacoby and Tyler together. I love this picture of them, love how Tyler is looking at Jacoby and the look on Jacoby's face. Tyler just adores Jacoby, I love my boys!

You Have Stolen My Heart

This is a layout of a bunch of my favorite pictures of Jacoby from when he was born to now. It was so fun to do, and just in time for Valentine's Day. And no, I didn't have a hard time coming up with this many pictures of him, I could make a heart twice the size if I wanted to. Ha ha. I'm a little obsessed. Before I had Jacoby I remember looking at Steph's blog and thinking how funny it was that all she posted about was Eden, but look at me now. Well this is Jacoby's photo gallery. I guess I'm just a dang proud momma. :)

I Dare You Not to Smile

So...did you smile when you saw it? I knew it.
We just got these pictures back that we had taken of him. I was really worried about not getting any good pictures, but it was really hard to chose the pose, because there were so many good ones. We didn't even have to put his hands like this for the picture, he's a pretty cute guy. I just can't help smiling when I look at this picture.

Valentine's Day

I decided to do some fun LOs of our wedding and list the reasons why we married each other. I was pretty dang excited when Tyler told me he would make a list...woo hoo! So I thought it would be appropriate to post these pages since Valentine's Day is next week. Love ya Ty, you're the best!

Pictures of....you guessed it, Jacoby!

Right after Jacoby was born my sister, Steph, took some adorable naked pictures of him, but I've been wanting to do some for awhile, so I finally got around to it. It's definitely harder now that he's older, I had to turn the heat up really high so I could take off his outfit and get him to sleep. However, there was no way I was gonna be able to take his little diaper off, he definitely would've woken up. Well it was sure fun. Can't wait to scrap them, I have all sorts of ideas for these pages already. The middle picture is from my shoot and the last one is just a cute one of him holding onto my finger. I just threw this first one it, because I just love it. I can never get enough of taking pictures of my little man. :)

Jacoby's First Winter

I just finished this page of Jacoby for his first winter. It was a fun page to do, I loved all the photos of him in his snow clothes, I couldn't decide which one to use.

He's Goin' to Brazil

My brother, Thomas, received his mission call to the Campinas, Brazil mission! We all put in guesses of where he would go and the date he would enter the M.T.C. Well I actually guessed Brazil, ha ha. There were three of us who guessed Brazil, but my brother-in-law, Devan, guessed both Brazil and the date April 28, so he was definitely the closest. It was a pretty awesome experience to watch Thomas open his call and read it out loud. After he opened it we started looking up all sorts of things about his mission and found out lots of awesome things. Just a few things we found out, there's a temple in his mission, which is awesome, and it's a really warm climate, that lucky duck. He will leave April 29, and go straight to the M.T.C. in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Thomas is my only brother, so this is defnitely a new experience for our family. I'm really trying not to think about him leaving and being gone for two years, but I really do want him to go, I would be more sad if he didn't. We're so proud of Thomas and the great kid that he is, we know he will be a wonderful missionary. We love ya Tom!

Little Man is 5 months

We can hardly believe that Jacoby is 5 months today!! He's a growing boy and weighs almost 17 pounds and is 28 inches, he's a big kid. He's wearing 6-9 month clothes now. I feel like I always need to try outfits on him to make sure he hasn't grown out of something and will actually be able to wear to wear stuff more than a few times, but he's not a fan of dress up. We love Jacoby so much, he brings so much joy to our lives. He's finally starting to sleep a little better, wakes up once or twice at night and probably once a week will sleep all night long! I love those mornings, I feel so good! :) Jacoby loves toys now and will shake his rattles and suck on just about anything he can get to his mouth. He is a big time drooler and slobbers all over the place. He is in love with baths now and kicks like crazy to make splashes. About two weeks ago we started feeding him rice cereal at nights and he's doing really well with that, but is SO messy, I've gotta post some pictures of him, he's crazy! He's also discovering his little feet and loves to grab hold of them and play with them. He's becoming an expert roller, but gets frustrated when he's stuck and can't roll back over. He's still in love with his binkie, and we are a fan too. Whatever makes him happy, makes us VERY happy. He's sleeping in his crib in his bedroom now and it still makes me sad at nights to not have him in our room with us, but I sleep so much better and so does he. (Not Tyler, he could sleep through anything, doesn't matter.) Most recently he's finally acting interested when we're eating and he starts smackin' his gums. We love you Jacoby, you're the BEST!

Back to School

Well last Wednesday was my first day back to school! I have been dreading this for five months. It's just one class I'm taking, so not too bad, but I know it's going to be a little difficult to juggle school and taking care of my boys. I know that I need to finish school, and I really want to so I'm trying to have a good attitude, but well that's not working very well. :) I came home from class Wednesday morning and pretty much had a breakdown, it was rough. My sister, Steph has really inspired me to finish since she just graduated from school in December and she had a one-year-old. I will always regret it if I don't finish so here we go... I realize I'm not going to have as much time to do some of the other things I love like digital scrapbook, read, and blog. I guess I'll still continue to take lots of pictures to scrap later. Here are a few pages I've done lately. This is probably my favorite outfit of Jacoby's. I love these car pajamas!

Tyler loves watching his Braves or North Carolina Basketball play any chance he gets...he's even got Jacoby interested. When my sister, Becca, saw this page she said, I'm pretty sure I've seen this same picture, but with different characters: Lonnie, Trey, and Johnny. I thought that was funny. Anyway...I loved this picture of my boys.

Merry Christmas Darling

This is a scrapbook page I've been working on of Jacoby's first Christmas. I just love the picture in the ornament on the left, isn't his new hat so cute?

Christmas Fun!

We had a wonderful Christmas! We had lots of parties with family and had lots of good times. I just love Christmastime. We received many great gifts from our families. A few of the things we got were a camcorder, a trunk for a coffee table, clothes, books for Jacoby, lots of toys, a SEWING MACHINE, and Tyler got a nice coat. I love everything about the Christmas season: the music, the snow, the lights, Christmas trees, decorations, yummy food, parties, shopping, and best of all remembering the birth of our Savior. I'm so grateful for the birth of Jesus Christ and for all of the sacrifices He has made for all of us. I feel so blessed. I'm always a little grumpy after Christmas because it just goes by too fast. I didn't want to go to bed Christmas night because I just didn't want to wake up and realize it was all over. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year! I hope you all had a very merry Christmas!

Jacoby & Johnny Our little family on Christmas. I can't believe I'm posting a picture considering how I look, but hey it's Christmas and when it comes to getting ready, I take the day off.

We have started to do this huge party with my family about a week before Christmas where we have fondue, play Bunko and have great prizes, watch movies, eat a fantastic dinner, and all sleepover. It was so fun to have everyone together and spend the whole night together. I just love my family! This is a scrapbook page that my mom did of the big party! And another great thing about the party was that it was Steph's birthday! I love ya Steph! My mom made cupcakes for her birthday and Devan got more cake from Johnny Carinos, by the end of the night, we were sick! Here are some pictures from the big night!
